Speyk

Privacy

Privacy

This is the privacy policy for the Speyk iOS and Android apps. It is a placeholder you can host and give to App Store Connect and Play Console. It describes the product as it is today: local speech-to-text, no account.

Who this covers

Speyk is made by Peyton Scott. There is no company account system and no sign-in. This page is not an in-app account or a data dashboard.

What Speyk does with audio

When you tap the mic, Speyk records on the phone and runs NVIDIA Parakeet (NeMo ASR) on the device. Transcription does not require sending audio to a Speyk server. After you download a model, speech-to-text can run offline.

Speyk does not operate a cloud ASR API. The website is a product page. It does not record or transcribe.

What leaves the phone

The first time you pick a Parakeet size, the app downloads model files from the public sources listed in the app (Hugging Face for iOS, a GitHub release for Android). That download is the model, not your voice.

Copy and share use the system share sheet. If you paste a transcript into another app, that other app’s privacy rules apply. Speyk does not upload the memo.

Accounts, analytics, ads

There is no Speyk account. There is no advertising identifier use. This version does not include an analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

The current title and transcript live in memory. The chosen model id is stored in on-device preferences so Speyk can reopen the same model. Model files stay in the app’s private storage.

Children

Speyk is a general-purpose dictation tool. It is not directed at children and does not collect personal information.

Later sync

Google Drive or iCloud sync is not in this version. If that ships, this policy will say so, and upload will stay off the dictation path.
